The Magic of Disney floats in and out of New York this summer

Look out New York … Mickey Mouse is in town.

The Disney Magic will call The Big Apple home for the next three-plus months, sailing eight-night Bahamas cruises, five-night cruises to Canada and unique two-night get acquainted sailings out of Manhattan.

The Bahamas cruises will sail  to Disney’s private island – Castaway Cay; Nassau, Bahamas and Port Canaveral. During the Florida stop guests will receive a one-day Disney World Park Hopper ticket and roundtrip transportation between the ship and resort.

The New England-Canada cruises will call at Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick.

The two-night cruises out of New York offer a quick getaway with a day at sea over a weekend.

Score one for California, Disney Wonder on the way

It isn’t the first time that a little Disney magic has made a difference in California. This time it comes in the form of the Disney Wonder cruise ship.

While other cruises lines are vacating the USA’s largest state, here comes Disney Wonder, which at this moment is sailing to its new home of Los Angeles.

The ship is on the final leg of a 15-day journey that includes stops in Aruba and Puerto Vallarta, and through the Panama Canal. It arrives in LA on Friday, where it begins sailing seven-day Mexican riviera itineraries beginning Sunday.

The ship heads to Vancouver, B.C., in April where it will sail an Alaskan itinerary through the summer, before coming home to LA for more Mexican riviera cruises.
